Sixth-Eighth

The Science Academy middle school program is sophisticated and stimulating, it addresses the need  of preparing the students for high school by providing intellectually challenging material and the social/emotional support they need.

Classes are small and instruction continues to be a mix of individual, small group, and whole group work. Each student

has a core class each day for forty minutes and specials changing on a daily basis. (Language arts, math, science, social studies, music, drama, character education, physical education, art and Spanish or Turkish) Our eighth grade students are working on high school curriculum in all core classes.

Students can feel free to be themselves in a classroom filledwith talented peers. Homerooms participate in classes like art, music, foreign languages, and gym together, but students are grouped according to educational needs in language arts, math and science.

The middle grades offer a challenging academic program in a nurturing, supportive setting. The core curriculum   teaches students how to study, explore, research, and write. Teachers engage students and address different learning styles.
