Scholastic Competitions

Students at the Science Academy of Chicago actively engage in scholastic competitions.  Below are some of the competitions and awards that we received for the 2014 – 2015 school year.

• First Tech Challenge
  • Inspire Award
  • First Tech Challenge Motivate Award
• Illinois Junior Academy of Science (IJAS)
  • 6 Gold Medal at the State Science Fair. All six students that participated received gold medals.  Two students received special awards:
    • The Best Agricultural Related Project” sponsored by the College of AgriculturalScience
    • The HealthScience Learning Exchange

• Future City Competition
  • PeerAward
  • The Best Name for a Community.

• Band-O-Rama Music Festival 2015
  • Received Excellent Rating

• Music In The Parks Music Festival
  • 3^rd Place
  • Best Soloist of the day
